“THANK YOU!” TO OUR AVERY ROOM MOMS! The Avery PTA sends out a very special THANK YOU to all of our Avery Room Moms! Each of you are a valuable part of the experience our children have here at Avery, both by what you do in the classroom as well as the important roles you play “behind the scenes.” Our classrooms wouldn’t be the same without your time and efforts! Each teacher at Avery may choose to utilize their Room Moms in different ways, and since our primary goal is to be a benefit in the classroom we recognize the need to be flexible under each teacher’s guidance and direction. We also realize that many of our teachers may choose to rely on the backup offered by our Room Moms in ways that make it more feasible to get the jobs done when you have extra sets of hands involved! Even when activities or events come up that have you call upon other classroom volunteers, each designated Room Mom will still be the primary contact for the teacher and will be responsible for coordinating the efforts of the other parent volunteers. The PTA will distribute into the teacher’s mailboxes monthly calendars that will go home with the students’ Friday Folders. We will make every effort to have these out to the teachers by the Wednesday prior to the last Friday Folder to go home each month. We’ve also prepared a list of the events we anticipate being scheduled – this list is revised periodically, and has already been updated since the list that was distributed in the welcome packets that went out at the first general Room Mom meeting. This list DOES change from time to time as new events are added and/or dates are changed as necessary – the list posted below is the most current. In the future, when this master list is revised, you will receive an email from Amber Lyn to let you know about the change!
