PTA Day at the Capitol – February 23, 2010

PTA Day at the Capitol provides PTA leaders, members and supporters an opportunity to become more familiar with the legislative process and to actively speak with legislators about education and children’s issues.  Develop and put your advocacy skills to work under the Gold Dome and over lunch with your state legislators.  Bring a van full of PTA members – all wearing red – and let your voice for children be seen and heard.

You can register on-line for this event by going to www.georgiapta.org and following the link provided.  Advance registration is $30 and includes not only a briefing on legislative issues and advocacy but also lunch with the legislators at the Freight Depot beginning at noon.  The deadline for the advance registration is February 9^th.  Registration after that date or on site is $50 with no guarantees for lunch and resources.

This is a great opportunity to put into practice your resolve to be involved and meet other like minded parents in advocating for our children!  We hope to see you there!!
